The Millers || Family Session

On Monday I finally had the opportunity to take the Miller family's pictures... this shoot is one that we've been trying to schedule for almost two months. The weather finally warmed up to 30 degrees, so we decided to give it a shot. Mackenzy picked out great outfits for her family, and little Mabrey was in a good mood, so thankfully we were able to get some great pictures!

The Best of 2012

2012 was a fantastic year for many reasons. One reason was the fact that I got engaged to my best friend! Another reason was the incredible trip to China that I took with my college. Another was getting my face on a book cover in Spain (funny story, that). Another was getting to be the photographer at my cousin's wedding. I feel that my photography improved. Even just by scanning the post from the top to the bottom I think that I see a difference.
I was so blessed last year, photography wise. I didn't do very many senior sessions this year, but I did a lot more family sessions then I'd done in the past, which was fun. I had the privilege of working with many incredible people; some for the first time, some for the 2nd or 3rd time. So, a very special thank you to those who allowed me to step into your lives for the first time, and to those who continue to allow me to document your precious memories.

The Ackley's || Family Shoot

I'm so happy to finally be sharing this awesome family's pictures! We were scheduled to take pictures at Cold Shivers Point one afternoon, but when we arrived the location was certainly living up to it's name. Within 3 minutes we were all chilled with red noses, and the wind prevented us from getting any pictures by blowing the girl's hair everywhere! So we rescheduled for the next weekend, and I'm so glad we did!

I was praying the whole drive up to the location, and the lighting was perfect and there wasn't a breath of wind. I'm so thankful for the gorgeous views that come from living in Colorado. Thanks again for your flexibility, Ackley family!

 I love the view of the Grand Valley in this picture!
